A collection of pictorial Yale dinner plates made in England by Wedgwood. The total of sixteen blue and white transfer plates each having a variety of Yale scenes to include; The Old Library (two), Yale College Fence & Campus, Vanderbilt-Scientific Hall II 1906, Sheffield Hall 1859-1931, Old Chapel 1824-1896, Wrexham Tower Memorial Quadrangle 1920 (two), Connecticut Hall 1752 (two), Yale College 1718, Fine Arts Bridge 1928 (two), Walter Camp Memorial Gateway 1928, Sterling Memorial Library 1930 and Harkness Memorial Tower 1921. The set also includes sixteen cups with saucers, eleven double handled bouillon cups with under-plates, eight ‘Yale Arms’ tea plates and one ‘Yale College and the New Haven State House’ turkey platter. Documentation accompanying the dinnerware indicates the collection was purchased on several occasions from 1943 through 1951.
