A hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of scarlet, ivory, charcoal, slate blue, wine, fern, mauve, and wheat. The scarlet hued field has a diamond pendant medallion, while featuring a herati design throughout, that flows to the layered spandrels. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded stylized herati border, as well as meandering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
