A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Shiraz wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of indigo, terracotta, sand, burnt orange, ivory, saffron, and sky blue. The indigo hued lozenge begins with a central medallion with multiple pendants, and it features an array of floral motifs, tree of life forms, and other rectilinear shaped symbols. The lozenge is grounded by terracotta colored spandrels that feature the same central medallion and motifs from the field. Framing the field is a sand colored main border designed with floral medallions and flowering branches, along with geometrically patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
