Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkish tribal accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, sapphire, umber, wine, and ivory and centered by a pair of winged medallions, each encasing an arrow cross with stepped edges. The sapphire field is populated by six arrow crosses, rosettes, and eight-pointed stars. It is framed by compound guard borders comprised of geometric motifs, while the primary border displays a repeating rosette design over sapphire. The rug is finished with double sewn overcast selvedges in a barber pole pattern, a short kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
