Carved and Burl Veneered Secretary with Hutch

Item Details

An antique or vintage secretary with bookcase hutch. It has an arched top with a carved pediment and edge, over burlwood doors inlaid with urn, flower, and scrolled marquetry designs. The doors open to shelves over a matched veneer drop front secretary, with divided storage, hidden compartments, and a glass and brass inkwell. The base has a single, long drawer with shell carving to the front, and griffin carved figural legs connected by a stretcher with shell and scroll carved accent at the center.
