A hand-knotted Persian or Turkish silk area rug, likely having a wool blend and silk mix. This rug is rendered in a palette of gold, wheat, ivory, terracotta, celadon, indigo, and black. The gold and wheat toned field is paneled with an array of floral themed medallions, along with a central square rosette, and cartouches infilled with ornate Kufic calligraphy. The paneled design flows to the main and guard borders, with an overall floral theme. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a silk twisted warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
