Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Silk Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian silk accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of sapphire, jade, ivory, crimson, gold, cranberry, maize, and walnut. The notched sapphire hued field begins with a star shaped pendant medallion, and it features an all-over design of purling vine-work of palmettes, and leaves. Framing the field is a main jade grounded border patterned with motifs from the field, as well as a floral meander guard border that flows through the notches. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges, and a silk kilim skirt with silk warp fringe to the ends. This rug is labeled ‘Genuine Hand Woven Oriental Rug’.
