Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, crimson, jade, ivory, terracotta, apricot, and emerald. The field features an allover herati design that flows from the hexagonal pendant medallion, the lozenge, and the spandrels. Framing the field is a herati main border grounded in crimson, along with guard borders patterned with medallions, carnation meander, and laleh abbasi. Finishing this field are overcast selvedges and a fine cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
