A hand-knotted Indian Mahal wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of crimson, sapphire, powder blue, cornsilk, and rose. The crimson hued field features a diamond patterned lattice consisting of rectilinear leaves, medallions, and palmettes, as well as branched elements. Framing the field is a main cornsilk grounded herati border, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are quadruple overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
