A pair of vintage box purses with bakelite handles. This set includes a circa 1960s Anton Pieck box purse. This octagonal shaped wooden box purse is decoupaged with charming village market scenes by Dutch artist Anton Pieck (1895 – 1987). It has a hinged lid with a silver-tone clasp closure and a hard red bakelite handle. The second octagonal shaped box purse features a decoupaged scene of ladies in dressed in evening gowns, conversing on a field of brown. The purse has pierced foliate gold tone trim, a black bakelite handle, gold-tone clasp closure, and a circular mirror to the interior of the lid.
