A pair of oil paintings on canvas signed ‘French’. These pieces each depict a clown in the ‘hobo clown’ archetype with stubbly beard and patches on his pants. In one he carries a bag tied to a stick, and in the other a beach ball sits at his feet. Both are signed to a lower corner and presented in black wood frames with gold tone borders and wire to the versos for hanging.

Condition

- slight discoloration to paintings; scuffs along front face of each frame.

- measures one frame; visible image measures 13.75" W x 17.75" H.
