Item Details
A hand-knotted Caucasian Kazak wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of cornsilk, ivory, madder red, cerulean, teal, walnut, carnation, wine, and salmon. The cornsilk colored field begins with a pole of four hooked medallions each infilled with a rectilinear branched form with floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded flower and box meander border, along with a stylized boteh meander border, and a laleh abbasi border. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
