A 1983 reverse acrylic painting on plexiglass titled Spin by contemporary Cincinnati artist Evelyn L. Liner. The painting features a series of gridded squares and circles painted in an array of bright shades. The work is signed and dated in pencil to the verso. It is presented in a clear plexiglass frame with rounded corners. The verso is coated with a treated paper for protection.
Evelyn L. Liner received her artistic training from the University of Cincinnati. Liner typically creates reverse glass paintings, rendered in vibrant colors. Her work has been accepted into a number of juried shows including the Bluegrass Open in Louisville, Kentucky, Summerfair, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Dayton Museum Gallery Show. Along with juried shows, Liner’s work has been on display at several Cincinnati area institutions such as: Closson’s Gallery; Miller Gallery; and Malton Gallery.
