Hand-Knotted Persian Tabriz Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz area rug. This wool rug features an allover harshang pattern incorporating crisply rendered palmettes of different sizes and other flowers, lancet leaves, cloudband motifs and arabesqued vinework over a rose-colored field. The field is framed by three borders, including a herati main border grounded in midnight blue, featuring meandering palmettes. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
