Antique Victorian Carved Armchair with Needlepoint Upholstery

An antique Victorian armchair. The wood armchair has a mahogany finish, featuring an ornately carved and pierced crest rail, carved side supports, a carved and scrolled horizontal back splat, out-curved scrolled arms, a round seat and carved cabriole legs. the seat is padded and upholstered in coral colored hand-stitched needlepoint with floral motifs, trimmed with brass tacks. No maker’s mark.

- one arm joint is loose; wood has surface marks, scuffs, scratches, wear; upholstery has wear, discoloration
