A collection of three Chinese hand-painted scrolls. The framed scrolls depict botanical and garden scenes and are delicately colored atop a paper ground. The second work shows squash and squash blossoms and cowpeas (Vigna unguiculata, 豇豆) with a title that translates ‘to eat the top for its distinctive flavor’ (用頭風味).The second painting depicts red peonies, peach blossoms and daffodils with vessels in the style of copper/bronze ritual vessels. The third painting depicts late autumn chrysanthemums with butterflies. Each is signed and housed in a vermilion and gold tone painted wood frames.
