Chinese Sancai Glazed of Guanyin with Attendant on a Mythical Creature

A Chinese figurine of Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara), the bodhisattva of compassion. She holds a small vase and is accompanied by a young attendant standing upon a lotus bloom. Both figures stand on the back of a mythical creature with a lion-like face. The pieceis glazed in sancai glazes of rich emerald green, marigold yellow, and deep aubergine purple. Unmarked.
