A Persian-style ‘Bijar’ area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, madder red, sage, indigo, rose,wine, slate, and cornsilk. The field features an all-over herati pattern that flows throughout the main hexagonal medallion, the ivory grounded lozenge, the indigo hued field, and the madder red colored spandrels. Framing the field is a main madder red grounded samovar border, along with a series of floral designed guard borders, and laleh abbasi minor borders.
