Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, pale yellow, indigo, chartreuse, powder blue, ivory, and mocha. The madder red colored lozenge field begins with a pair of medallions, along with rectilinear vine-work with added palmettes. The lozenge is grounded by ivory colored spandrels with coordinating vines and floral motifs. Framing the field is a main stylized samovar border over indigo. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
