Power-Loomed Persian-Inspired Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A power-loomed Persian-inspired wool area rug. The rug has been made using faux abrashed and variegated shades of maize, umber, espresso, denim, sand, and olive. The design begins with a lozenge infilled with pole floral medallions and floral and foliate motifs. The field and spandrels are similarly populated. The borders features pointed niches above palmettes surrounded by scrolling arabesques and leaves. The outer minor border includes boteh. The ends and selvedges are serged and there is an illegible label affixed to the underside.
