A metal kinetic sculpture by American artist Fredrick Prescott (born 1949) titled Cow Jumped Over the Moon. It depicts two figures on the back of a cow that is leaping over a city skyline and cloud by a pink crescent moon, supported by three metal dowels over a flat black base. It is signed and dated 1990 to the base with a stamped edition number ‘3/40’ and mark from Martin Lawrence Galleries. This piece works with counterweights to the cow and moon, causing them to swing back and forth.
