Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Sarouk wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of cranberry, wheat, sapphire, sky blue, ivory, and carnation. The cranberry hued field begins with a diamond shaped medallion comprised of flower bouquets, while accompanied by an abundance of floral sprays, and arrangements throughout. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded flower filled stylized herati border, along with leaf and blossom guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as visible blue weft threads to the underside. This rug is unlabeled.
