A German chalet style musical cuckoo clock. A German clock with a Swiss musical movement that features a carved wood case with a prominent chalet and figurines. The clock has an overhanging walnut wood roof and a diamond patterned wood veneer front panel and a crest that features a reeded wood door displaying a cuckoo bird on the hour. The door is set above a porch that displays colorful wood figurines that dance to the musical movement. Other features of the clock include carved pine trees side columns and a raised wood dial with white Roman numerals and hands. The dial is set above a carved wood horse-drawn carriage pulling lumber that is set on the base. The clock has pine cone weights on chains and a wood pendulum with an 8-day German movement and a Swiss musical movement that plays ‘Der Frohliche Wanderer and Edelweiss with a chime silence switch. The clock is marked ’Germany’ on the face.
