A collection of twelve hand-colored engravings of animals by Emil Hochdanz (1816 – 1885), each dated 1868. Each item depicts an animal in its natural habitat with added colors. To the bottom print margin of each item, the artist credit is printed. Each item is presented unmounted and without a frame.

Condition

- discoloration and wear to the edges of each item; foxing throughout the surface of each item; some corners are bent; some paper is frail; one image has a large smudge; to the verso of each item, foxing and discoloration.
