Antique Victorian Mirrored Carved Wood Wardrobe

An antique Victorian Renaissance style wardrobe. This substantial ornate upright piece features a removable molded entablature above beaded trim, a raised floral carved embellished frieze. Two cabinet doors include inset shaped beveled mirrors and raise carved floral, scrolling vine, and leaf details. A skeleton key and detailed brass lock plates gains access to the shelved interior. The interior of the cabinet offers three shelves, one with an iron pipe rod affixed to the bottom, on wood adjustable shelf grooves to each interior corner. The piece is finished on a serpentine apron with carved scrolling vines, flowers, and leaves on short cabriole legs with scrolled feet. The piece is unmarked.

- front left panel is loose and moves around in frame; one shelf loose and broken to back left corner; left back scrolled foot has a missing/cut scroll detail; hole to the back for wire outlet; mirrors has spotting to silver and wear to surface; wear, scratching, marks, residue, chipping and denting throughout; consistent with age and use.
