A hand-colored engraving on an acrylic plate after the original 1880 wood engraving titled Inauguration Day 1789 by listed artist T. de Thulstrup (New York/Sweden, 1848 – 1930). This print depicts George Washington riding through a busy New York street scene. It is signed and dated in the plate to the lower left. It is housed in a wood frame with a gold tone wash over a dark finish, a beige liner and a wood fillet, and is ready to hang with a wire. A certificate of authenticity from Collier Art Corporation is present to the verso.
