Vintage Power-Loomed Karastan "Kirman" Wool Palace-Sized Rug
Item Details
A palace-sized power-loomed Kirman wool rug by Karastan. This American-made rug features a classic Persian Kerman design in a palette of cream, rose, cerulean and crimson. It begins with a cream-colored field patterned with small, crisp sprays of wild flowers and foliage. The design forgoes border edges in favor of simply surrounding the field with a riot of vase forms and bouquets over rose and cerulean. Selvedges are overcast. Ends feature tan wool fringe. A Karastan label on the reverse reads ‘All Wool.’
