Finely Hand-Knotted Persian Mahi Tabriz Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A finely hand-knotted Persian Mahi Tabriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of deep indigo, terracotta, peach, ivory, sand, powder blue, rose, cranberry, slate, and olive. The deep indigo colored field begins with a layered pendant medallion that coordinates with the layered spandrels, all infilled with an intricately designed herati pattern. Framing the field is an ornate stylized herati main border, along with carnation meander guard borders, and floral minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as vinyl bands to the underside. It is unlabeled. Please see item 18LAX187-086 for a companion item.
