A vintage hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, ivory, sky blue, apricot, fern, sage, and powder blue. The indigo colored field begins with a layered pendant medallion that coordinates with the spandrels in hues of apricot, ivory, and fern with a floral theme. The remainder of the field features an allover herati design. Framing the field is a main apricot grounded herati border, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders, and minor diagonal striped borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
