A Zuni rain priest kachina doll. This piece presents a dancing figure wearing white rabbit fur with chicken feathers and a deerskin apron decorated in geometric designs. The figure holds a bow and chicken feathers in one hand, and a spear with a chert arrowhead in the other. It stands on a round of wood that is titled and marked “By Ahaa” to the underside.

Condition

- blue paint mark on left elbow; debris in fur on chest area; wooden base peeling around edge to the verso.
