Antique Kestner German Bisque and "Excelsior" Composition Body Doll
Item Details
An antique German bisque and composition doll. The doll features a hand-painted bisque socket head with feathered brows, brown sleep eyes, rosy cheeks, and parted coral lips revealing a row of teeth. She is topped by a long brown wig, styled into two braids and tied with ivory ribbons. The composition body was produced by Kestner in Germany and is fully jointed. The doll is clad in an ivory hat, dress, and crocheted shawl. She is stamped ‘Excelsior Germany 8’ on the lower torso.
