This piece depicts a path through a forest of large, bare trees covered in snow and a lone figure walking down it while black birds circle overhead and the sun is diffused through clouds. The work is unsigned and presented in a wood frame with a gold tone sight edge and wire to the verso for hanging.

- patched to verso; bulge to lower right corner of canvas; frame rub to upper left corner of canvas; visible stretcher line to lower edge of painting; craquelure to paint; discoloration and accretion throughout; chips with finish loss to liner; surface wear to frame consistent with age.
