19th Century Eastlake Style Gingerbread Mantel Clock

Item Details

A 19th century Eastlake style gingerbread mantel clock. A clock with a cherry finished wood case and a decorative cutout design with brass hardware. A curved shape and decorative wood leaf cutouts on the bonnet are accented by urn finials and cutout side columns with wood overlays. The case has a glass front door accented with a gilded floral design with blue and white accents that seem to frame the embossed brass pendulum. Other features of the clock include a brass bezel surrounding a white dial with black Roman numerals, two key arbors and slender black hands. The clock has an 8-day time and strike movement, a brass winding key and the clock stands on a plinth style wood base with a decorative shaped design and bracket feet. There are no apparent makers marks.
