Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of cherry red, midnight blue, golden ocher, grey,moss green, cream, cerulean, and coral. This rug features a scalloped circular medallion with pointed pendants and the field is densely patterned with Shah Abassi style palmettes, lancet leaves, and scrolling vines. It is framed with carnation meander guard borders and a herati pattern main border. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
