Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, ivory, indigo, wheat, emerald, cobalt, gold, and carnation. The madder red colored field begins with a diamond shaped pendant medallion while featuring an allover herati design that flows to the layered spandrels. Framing the field is a main stylized crab border grounded in ivory, along with multiple meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
