Hand-Knotted Qashqai Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Qashqai wool area rug. This tribal style rug is rendered in an abrash palette of madder red, indigo, clementine, sky blue, salmon, wine, and ivory. The madder red colored field begins with a serrated diamond medallion with coordinating spandrels. The field also features rectilinear branched forms with leaves and palmettes. Framing the field is a main cobalt grounded pelt and bracket designed border, along with a pair of chained guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
