Porcelain WWI-Themed German Plates and Platter

A selection of antique German porcelain plates and platter. The selection contains three plates, all of which feature imagery associated with World War I. The platter features Iron Cross motifs, garlanded in oak and holly, the cross including an image of a crown, a ‘W’ and ‘1914’; the underside is marked with a Volkstadet stamp. One plate features a transfer-printed color image of Erich Ludendorff; it is marked P.T. Bavaria on the underside. A second plate features a transfer-printed image of Kaiser Wilhem II and Franz Josef in the center; the rim is embellished with an image of Otto Weddigen at the top and Paul von Hindenburg at the lower end, amid orange, white and black motifs and oak leaves; the plate is unmarked.
