Hand-Knotted Persian Lamberan Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Lamberan area rug. This wool rug features a vertical row of Karaja-style medallions over a red field filled with tribal-style motifs, including palmettes, flowers, muskas and leaves. The field is framed by a single meander border grounded in cream. The palette is red, cream, turquoise and orange. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
