An Austin copy oil painting after the 19th century painter Edward Poynter’s painting titled Andromeda. This copy painting depicts a nude female figural form representing the myth of Andromeda who was chained to the rocks as a sacrifice to a monster. This piece is signed ‘Austin’ to the lower right corner of the picture plane. It is presented in an open wooden frame with a wire hanger to the verso.
