Convertible Weighted Sterling Silver Candelabra and Candleholders
Item Details
A collection of weighted sterling silver candleholders and candelabra. This includes a pair of convertible candelabra by Duchin Creation of New York, NY (active 1940s), featuring scrolled arms and gadroon accents. They can be unscrewed at points on the stem and recombined to create a taller, larger candelabrum. They are presented with a pair of short candleholders by Ames Manufacturing Co. of Chicopee, MA (active 1929-1920). Each piece is marked to the underside, ‘Sterling Weighted’ along with a maker’s mark.
