An antique George III ‘Sympathetic’ dining table by William Pocock. This mahogany drop leaf dining table features a pedestal base with four splay feet to brass feet and casters. The table extends to accept additional leaves, but none are included. A brass marker reads ’ Patent Sympathetic Tables by Pocock’ with a number ‘50’ with ‘Southampton Street Covent Garden’. A hidden compartment in the oak mechanism.

Mahogany with Oak secondary wood.
