Item Details
A Japanese hand-painted Satsuma stoneware vase. The vase features a wide rim atop a long narrow neck and ovoid body. It features hand-painted floral motif decoration in a palette of red, green, and blue on a cream ground with gold tone painted flowers and other details. The vase is marked ‘Satsuma’ (薩摩) underneath a Shimazu mon on the underside.
