A hand-knotted Persian tribal-style wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, black, clementine, ivory, slate, and sapphire. The crimson colored field begins with a bold black stepped pendant medallion infilled with a hooked form, and eight pointed stars. The field also features hooked medallions and more star motifs. Framing the field is a main clementine grounded border designed with stylized boteh, along with sawtooth guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
