A hand-knotted Bokhara accent rug. This wool rug features a Turkmen-style design in a palette of garnet, black, cream, cocoa and emerald, with prominent highlights in orange and ivory. It begins with a garnet field filled with polygonal and diamond medallions. The field is framed by four borders, featuring a variety of patterns over garnet, including running water, scrolls, and snowflake-like motifs. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
