Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian floral area rug. This contemporary wool rug is rendered in an artfully abrashed palette of carmine, rose, cream, azure, black, taupe, mocha and celadon. It features a Sarouk-inspired medallion design incorporating sprays of flowers over a largely open field of carmine and rose. Framing the field is a wide, broken border grounded in cream and filled with flowers and foliates. Selvedges are overcast, ends finishing with short cotton warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
