Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan carpet runner. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of slate blue, red, coral, white, sage green, burgundy, and black. The field is patterned with an all over geometric herati pattern consisting of diamond medallions, lancet leaves, and palmettes. The lozenge is framed with a sawtooth edge border and the corner spandrels have sprays of flower blossoms. It is framed with running water and zig-zag leaf pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Unmarked.
