A vintage Chippendale style mahogany highboy dresser by Henkel-Harris. It features a broken pediment with prominent finial over three aligned drawers one with a carved shell, over two small drawers over three stacked, full-width drawers. Below is one shallow full-width drawer over three aligned drawers, one with a carved shell. The drawers feature machine-cut dovetail joints and – with the exception of the shell carved drawers – gold-toned bail handles on batwing plates and gold-toned batwing escutcheons. It rises on cabriole legs on pad feet. It is marked ‘Crafted by Virginia Galleried Furniture by Henkel-Harris’ and ‘From Genuine Mahogany’ inside a drawer.
