Item Details
A handwoven floral wool soumak room sized rug. This rug is woven with a chain stitch, and it is rendered in a palette of cornsilk, sky blue, chartreuse, apricot, terracotta, indigo, and sand. The cornsilk colored field features an ogee shaped lattice intersected with blossoms, while featuring stemmed blooms throughout. The stemmed blooms are also found in the meandering main border, and guarded by floral meander borders as well. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
