Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, mocha, walnut, slate blue, indigo, rose, pine, rust, wheat, and sage. The ivory colored field features an all-over design of scrolling vine-work with palmettes, floral motifs, and curled leaves. Framing the field is a main mocha grounded stylized herati border, along with a series of floral designed guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
