An antique hand carved polychromed Monserrat Virgin. The Virgin is depicted seated, dressed in a red gown and dark navy robe, holding out an open right hand, and holding an orb of the Earth in the left. Seated on the Virgin’s lap is a small carved Jesus. The sculpture is mounted upon a walnut base. The sculpture is approximately 125-135 years old and was purchased in Lares, P.R from Galeria Santiago.
